Chris Davanzo, Enterprise Account Executive at IT consulting firm and Solution Provider Cumberland Group, figured out that not all technology partners are alike.

After spending three hours in discovery just trying to explain their business to a consulting firm, Chris knew his team was in trouble. They didn’t even have a roadmap to help them pick an ERP and began to doubt if it could be done.

“We felt like we were just gonna end up with something else that was clunky, that didn’t work for us and would take years and years of customization trying to figure out how to make it work,” said Chris.

It was actually someone on the ConnectWise team who suggested Chris reach out to Catalyst. They knew of our familiarity with their software and our expertise in the IT Solution Provider field.

“Within 30 minutes of talking to [the Catalyst team], they knew almost exactly what we needed” said Chris.

What was it like at Cumberland before? Lots of spreadsheets, according to Chris. They ran three different systems for CRM, sales and accounting.

“There was poor visibility for the executive team,” he said.

Partnering with Chris and his team, we helped them get up and running with NetSuite in just five months, setting up integrations and customizations using several of our products.

“[Catalyst] accelerated our go live and our success,” said Chris.

We helped them create a playbook and guide map for all the systems and software to work together, streamlining internal processes across the company.

“They helped us quite significantly in the beginning as we were developing a strategy for integrating our systems and customizing our systems to better fit our business model,” said Chris.

Successful implementation for Cumberland wasn’t just about the technical knowledge. Yes we saved them time, but we also helped them make decisions based on what we’ve seen work for other businesses.

After implementation, we’re continuing to work with them to fix any issues and continue to improve their technology.

“They’ve got a tremendous extended team. People who are easy to work with, easy to communicate with and incredibly responsive,” said Chris. ““They effectively became our support team.”
